Air Charter Brokers Promise New Standards

A new organization, aimed at lifting standards in the air charter industry, was launched in the U.S. on October 8 by a group of air charter brokers. The Air Charter Professional Association (ACPA) says it will define a new set of standards and a code of ethical practices for brokers who act as intermediaries between business travelers, freight shippers and certified owner/operators of charter jets. Founding ACPA member companies include: Air Charter Team of Kansas City, Mo., Air Partner of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Air Planning of North Reading, Mass., Air Royale International of Los Angeles, Calif., Chapman Freeborn of Atlanta, Ga., and CharterAuction.com of Quincy, Mass"With the establishment of the ACPA, we can provide a jet-charter-business good housekeeping seal of approval that assures business travelers, freight shippers and jet charter owner/operators of professional and ethical intermediary services," said Nate McKelvey, Chief Executive Officer of CharterAuction.com, said in a statement.quot;The ACPA will be the first organization to accredit air charter intermediaries. It will separate the professionals from the amateurs," he added.
