There’s been a lot of buzz about China’s emerging importance as both a market and producer of aviation-related products but those who have ventured there from western countries often find a perplexing system of bureaucracy and business practices. A new publication by Business Data International attempts to make sense of it in 220 pages in the China Aviation Directory. According to the company, the hard cover volume covers “an overview of China’s aviation industry and all leading enterprises.”

In addition to listing the manufacturers and subcontractors that form the country’s core industry, there’s a compendium of research institutes, universities, joint ventures and other associated organizations trying to make the world’s most populous country more flight friendly. All the movers and shakers are named and contact information is provided. It costs $199 USD.
