Embraers foray into the business jet market looks like a good move as it counts up the orders from the Dubai Air Show. The Brazilian planemaker took in 63 orders in the first couple of days of the show. Most were for Phenom 100, 300 and Legacy 600 business jets, but there were also some for its Lineage 1000 model, which is based on the E190 airliner. Two orders for E series airliners accounted for 13 aircraft. North American bizjet makers also had their success stories. Cessna sold 11 Citations and four Mustangs, plus an assortment of piston products in deals worth more than $110 million while Bombardier took orders for two Challenger 605, a Global 5000 and a Lear 45 XR. Hawker Beechcraft sold five King Airs and announced certification of an extended range version of the venerable turboprop.
