A helicopter pilot is dead but occupants of a house in Orlando, Florida, escaped injury after the aircraft crashed into an adjoining guesthouse on Sunday afternoon. Police told local media the Robinson R-44 helicopter ended up inside the guest house and the pilot’s body was recovered after a fire was put out. “We don’t know what caused the accident,” Orlando police Sgt. Wanda Ford said. “We just know the helicopter did go inside the guesthouse and thankfully there were no residents inside.”

The helicopter reportedly took off from Orlando Executive Airport about two miles east of the crash site. The crash occurred about 2:15 p.m. The nature of the flight and the destination were not available at our deadline.
