Portion of Evergreen Airlines’ Properties for Sale

As a result of the bankruptcy of Evergreen International Airlines, its McMinnville, Ore., six-building, on-airport campus is up for sale (PDF). The buildings on sale do not include those on the across-the-street campus that contains the Evergreen Museum and the gigantic Hughes Hercules flying boat. According to brokers Ted Nicholson and Katrin Gist, the six buildings will be sold individually or as a group. While they are on-ramp properties, the land on which they stand is not owned by the airport, it is privately owned, so the land and buildings will not revert to the airport at any time in the future. The buildings, five of which have attached hangars, range in size from 13,000 square feet to 30,000 square feet. The lots on which the buildings sit range in size from 1.72 to 12.97 acres. Asking prices run from $1.6 to $12 million.

The campus has been on the market for three weeks. It is advertised as ideal for aircraft manufacturers and service centers, component manufactures, airlines, aviation-related businesses, company headquarters and aviation enthusiasts. Any sale will have to be approved by the bankruptcy court.
