SD-1 Minisport Flight Testing Completed
SkyCraft’s SD-1 single-place Minisport has completed flight testing successfully, meeting all the performance requirements needed for S-LSA Certification. According to the company’s report, the aircraft has good longitudinal and latitudinal stability and exhibited no issues with flutter, vibration or dangerous stall/spin tendencies. SkyCraft was able to verify the performance specifications for the SD-1 achieved by its Czech designers, with capabilities that include a 120-mph cruise and efficiency of up to 60 mpg. Updated specifications are now available on the SD-1 Minisport page.
Based on the results of the flight test program, SkyCraft said it will be updating the interior layout of the aircraft. The most significant change will be installation of a fully integrated Dynon SkyView glass cockpit backed up with a two-hour emergency power supply. SkyCraft said it is committed to delivering a safe, comfortable and fun flying experience in the SD-1 Minisport.
