We just looked at SocialFlight and confirmed that AirVenture exhaustion is a myth—it's still summer and everything aviation is going strong—airshows, fly-in breakfasts and even a pig roast. The Pike's Peak Regional Airshow takes place on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9 and 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Colorado Springs, Colorado, Airport. Gates open at 8:00 a.m., and there will be over 40 WWII aircraft on display, educational hangar activities and the Red Tail Squadron Exhibit. The folks at Garner Field, Uvalde, Texas, are holding a fly-in breakfast on Saturday, Aug. 9 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:19 p.m. and invite everyone to stop in and enjoy South Texas hospitality at its finest. They welcome you to enjoy a hot meal, tour their collection of warbirds or just visit the town for some shopping.

The Boonville Airpark, Boonville, New York, is throwing a family fly-in and pig roast on Saturday, Aug. 9 from noon to 5:00 p.m., rain or shine. The organizers promise food on the BBQ, drinks in the cooler and tales of great flying adventures. They ask for a $10 donation per person. The Washington Pilot's Association's biennial Wings & Wheels Fly-In is at the Anacortes, Washington, Airport on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Displays, food and live music highlight this event—if you miss it, you'll have to wait until 2016 for the next one—that's what biennial means. Thank you to SocialFlight for giving us aviation happenings in one website.
