The organization Women of Aviation Worldwide is kicking off its fourth annual Women of Aviation Worldwide Week with opening ceremonies on March 3, 2014, at the College Park, Md., Aviation Museum. The event will include guest speakers and interactive airport activities aimed at awakening girls and women around the world to available vocations in professional aviation. Guest speakers will include World Aerobatic Gold Medalist Debby Rihn-Harvery, wingwalker Jana McWhorter and aerobatic pilot Jacquie Warda. The event will be hosted by model-turned-commercial-pilot and flight instructor, Nadia Marcinko (aka Global Girl).

Women of Aviation Worldwide Week is dedicated to bringing more women into the male-dominated aviation industry through introducing girls and women to the opportunities opened up by flight. The College Park Aviation Museum is a 27,000-square-foot facility on the oldest continually operating airport in the United States. The airport is home to many firsts, including the first military aviation training center, first U.S. Air Mail service facility and where the first woman flew in an airplane.
