The airline business is on the rebound but there still aren't as many people flying as before 9/11. The International Civil Aviation Organization said commercial traffic was up 2 percent over 2001. But that's about 2 to 3 percent below 2000 levels. Spokesman Denis Chagnon said it would be 2004 before the industry returns to pre-9/11 business levels...

The Indian Air Force is investigating the 17th crash of a MiG-21 this year. The pilot ejected after a landing-gear failure while he approached Srinagar Airport in northern India. The plane hit a house, killing one person and injuring three. The government says it is upgrading the aircraft...

A Delta Airlines co-pilot who blew .07 into the breathalyzer has been suspended after being pulled off an aircraft in Norfolk, Va. A baggage screener noticed alcohol on Gary Alan Schroeder's breath as he reported for the 6:05 a.m. flight to Cincinatti. The flight was delayed 55 minutes.
