A few years ago I was in Egypt and took a balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. I took this picture near the end of the ride when we were all landing. Shot from my Canon Xti with a Sigma lens. No manipulation needed.
This is an HDR composite of three shots taken before the Saturday night show at AirVenture Oshkosh.
Aluminum Overcast was at Leesburg Airport (KJYO). I got up early, and one of the linemen was nice enough to let me on the ramp to get some pics. Resized for contest rules.

I took this photo on my first trip to Oshkosh in 2007 using a brand-new Canon Powershot S3 digital camera. After seeing the night show this year, I felt compelled to dig this photo back out and share it with everyone.

This photo was taken from a Fairchild 24 in southern California, while flying it back to Pennsylvania after purchase. The basin had filled with fog; we were able to climb above and over the hills to the south. A picture-perfect flight. No manipulations were made.

I took this shot of Canyon Village (located at 7,000 ft.) on the south rim of the Grand Canyon. We were north/northeast-bound within the Dragon Corridor at 11,500 ft. There are four prominent points shown in the picture, with the names from closest to farthest being: Mojave Point, Hopi Point, Yavapai Point, and Yaki Point. The Grand Canyon Visitor Center can be seen at Yavapai, and Canyon Village is located in the bowl between Hopi Point and Yavapai Point.

The only thing I did to the photo was to crop and brighten it. I used a Canon 50D with a 70-300mm telephoto lens.
