I flew up to maintenance to pick up one of our Cessnas and parked my Champ next to this Helio on amphibious floats they say the only one in the U.S. The contrast in size and power struck me as humorous: 4gph vs 18gph.
Cannon point-and-shoot camera; cropping and color balance.
0°F day at Sanford Maine with "sea smoke" on the horizon. The dense cool air makes for a happy helicopter. January 22, 2012; started out at -9 a couple hours before.

Sentimental Journey on the ramp at KCVN, October 5, 2011. I took a ride in this magnificent airplane and saw what my dad saw as a bombardier in these during WWII.
Re-sized only.
The Stinson at CYQG during the 50th Anniversary (1927-1977) Lindbergh Commemorative Tour. Gave me a chuckle with this being a "chase plane."

This is a 1941 Cessna T-50 or UC-78 Bamboo Bomber in which I received my ME training in 1966. The plane was my age.

This was my wife's first flight in a tail-wheel aircraft. She was excited for the invitation. The owner says this airplane had belonged to Duane Cole and he purchased it from the family with the understanding he would not sell it except to a museum. This is at a private strip near Butlerville, Arkansas.
Taken with Canon Powershot S410.
Me and my brother Greg (left) in the front seat of a 1939 Waco UPF-7 over the Gatineau Hills on my 50th birthday October 4, 2010. His turn is on March 24, but I can't be with him. Hopefully he'll spend the day flying in his glider near his home in Tuscon.
Ed. Note: Michael submitted his photo hoping to make it onto the site in time for Greg's 50th but our two-week submission cycle and the recent air shows have left us a couple of weeks behind. Nevertheless, we're sending belated birthday vibes to both the Hodgins lads!
Flying my Archer at 6,500 feet back from Marthas Vineyard to Poughkeepsie, New York, I spotted a Boeing 737 passing below and snapped a photo. You can barely see the 737; however, I caught a nice view of Block Island (in the distance).
Taken In November 2011 with a Canon PowerShot A510. Unedited.
