Last week, we asked if the time has come for an overhaul of the flight training system. Our informal poll revealed that most respondents are in favor of a revamp but are wary of throwing out the baby with the bath water. Accounting for 49% of responses, this option greatly outstripped all the other choices we offered: For much of training, the old standards work well — but there must be more emphasis on new technology and the coming changes to airspace management.
