The FAA plans to extend the validity of medical certificates for pilots under 40 years of age – but is it enough, or does the FAA need to institue more medical certificate reforms?

Last week, AVweb put that question to our readership, and a 52% majority of those who answered said that no, the FAA should eliminate third-class medicals altogether.  Significantly fewer respondents agreed with the FAA’s proposal as-is or though the age floor should be moved up.  (For a complete breakdown of answers, click here.)
