The Weekender can’t get enough of wings and wheels, and there’s plenty of both on SocialFlight. In Bluefield, West Virginia, on Saturday, the second annual Wings & Wheels Car Show/Fly-In will take place at Mercer County Airport. In its first year the event had more than 100 cars registered and 250 free airplane rides went to kids. This year, they’ll have that and more, adding two airshows with Johnny White. Also Saturday, the Cambridge Wings & Wheels show in Maryland celebrates its eighth event promoting all kinds of transportation, even tractors and bicycles. This year, the event is dedicated to Warrior Aviation, which helps returning veterans find career opportunities.

If you’re looking for something smaller and lighter on the wing, the 21st annual “World’s Smallest Air Show” will take place all weekend at the Brian Ranch private field in Llano, California, featuring ultralights, light sport and small GA aircraft, plus RC airplanes, skydivers and a rocket demonstration. Terrell Municipal in Texas will host a Food Truck Fest on Saturday (the third one this month)with all kinds of fare from around Dallas. This time, the event will also include the Mark Hardin Memorial Air Race. All fixed-wing, propeller-driven aircraft are eligible to take part.
