FAR 91.25 slipped into the federal registry, seemingly when no one was looking. Unofficially nicknamed the "Get Out Of Jail Free" rule, it gives pilots -- and air traffic controllers as well as other aviation professionals -- a chance to fess up to an unintentional offense without going straight to the FAA jail in Oklahoma City.
