Think global. The earth's atmosphere is a gaseous layer cake divided into four strata. The lowest layer is the troposphere, where many of us fly our Cubs, Champs and Warner Sporsters. It reaches up to about 36,000 feet. The three layers, in ascending order, above the troposphere are:

Stratosphere, mesosphere, and thermosphere

Stratosphere, metzosphere, and thermalsphere

Stratocruiser, mesocycle, and thermosbottle

Stratocaster, mesosphere, and thermocycle
