This week, AVweb wants to know what you think of the skill-to-compensation ratio for pro pilots.

Professional pilot pay. Are heavy iron drivers overpaid?

No. I don't even care if it's as easy as pushing a button. Flying an airliner is an immense responsibility — pilots are responsible both for the souls onboard and for the image of the industry. Overpaid? Not hardly.
No. Maybe six years ago you could make the argument, but not anymore.
With pensions, yes; without them, no.
Not really. This isn't a job anybody can do — it's not even a job any pilot can do.
I'm leaning toward yes.
Absolutely overpaid. Yes.
