Question of the Week

With the FAA considering new rules on what constitutes a "homebuilt" aircraft, the importance of building "51%" on your own is coming under fire.

Should builder assistance on homebuilts be more regulated?

YES. "Homebuilts" should be just that — built at home, with no help allowed.
NO. As long as 51% of the work is done by the owner-builder, anyone else should be able to do the other 49%
There should be a new classification for homebuilts made with professional assistance.
