Question of the Week

EMS extractions by helicopter have been under a lot of scrutiny lately, leading some to question whether specific regulations are in order. We'd like to hear your opinion.

Should helicopter emergency medical services flights get special attention from the FAA? (Chose the answer closest to your opinion.)

Yes. Because of their unique circumstances, they warrant a separate set of regulations.
They could be a subset of regulations.
The regulations that exist are fine; they just need to be enforced.
HEMS flights are just part of commercial aviation and need no special regs.
HEMS operations are generally unnecessary and should be banned.
OTHER (My opinion doesn't appear as a choice.)
