Question of the Week

The Commemorative Air Force lost its bid to keep a one-of-a-kind F-82 Twin Mustang when its appeal of an earlier court ruling in favor of the Air Force reclaiming the historic aircraft was rejected. The CAF originally wanted to restore the aircraft to flying condition, which prompts our latest Question. We'd like to know what you think about putting one-of-a-kind historic airplanes into the air.

Should one-of-a-kind historic aircraft be flown?

Yes. They were made to fly, and that's how they should be displayed to the public.
Sure, but with tight restrictions on pilot qualifications, weather and other safety-of-flight issues.
Maybe once in a while on special occasions to keep them in flyable condition, but no more.
Sorry, they're just too valuable to risk. Leave them on the ground so they can be enjoyed by future generations.
OTHER (My opinion doesn't appear as a choice.)
