Question of the Week

The AVweb Insider Blog has lit up with discussion over the importance of eliminating lead from avgas. This week, we'd like to put the question to readers in the form of a poll.

What stance should general aviation take toward the use of lead in avgas? Pick the best answer for you.

We should accept that its days are numbered and work rapidly to replace it with unleaded options.
If the economics remain favorable, the government should allow lead in avgas indefinitely.
Although I don't believe the environmentalists' argument against lead as an additive, I still think phasing it out makes sense.
I don't believe it's a significant environmental hazard. We should continue to use it.
OTHER (My opinion doesn't appear as a choice.)
