Question of the Week

The FAA says there will be 50,000 more GA airplanes and 52,000 more active pilots 20 years from now. Is that a reasonable prediction?

Is the FAA's growth prediction for GA accurate?

That's conservative. There's a GA boom on the horizon.
Sounds about right to me.
I can understand the bizjet growth, but recreational flying won't keep up.
Recreational flying is a sunset industry, and the FAA is giving false hope.
With the cost of fuel and environmental concerns, bizjets will fade and alternatively powered light aircraft will be the GA of the future.
OTHER (My opinion doesn't appear as a choice.)
