Question of the Week

With the failure of one of two satellites providing WAAS service, how's the government's decision to shut down Loran-C looking to you?

Should Loran-C be revived?

What's Loran-C?
No. GPS/WAAS has been extremely reliable, and any system will have the occasional hiccup.
No. Instead, more redundancy should be built into GPS/WAAS.
Maybe. The satellite failure might be a wake-up call that a ground-based backup is a good idea.
Yes. Loran-C has proven itself, is well understood, and is easy to operate and maintain.
OTHER (My opinion doesn't appear as a choice.)
