Question of the Week

The FAA has delivered its assessment of the state of the LSA industry and found it lacking in some respects.

What's your take on the light sport segment of aviation?

LSAs are safe, and the FAA should back off before it kills the industry.
Oversight is good, but this is a different market and product, and that needs to be considered.
Safety is paramount and LSAs must be held to an equivalent standard of safety or we're going backwards.
There was never any need for the new category. Manufacturing aircraft and being a pilot demand high standards. LSAs are not as safe as normally certified aircraft, and the whole concept should be revisited.
OTHER (My opinion doesn't appear as a choice.)
