Today's AVwebFlash deals almost exclusively with air show incidents. Are air shows a thing of the past?

Should we stop holding air shows?

No. Air shows, in one form or another, have always been the most important promotion tool for aviation.
Air shows are fun, and they're great for promoting aviation — but all the incidents don't help further the cause.
Maybe it's time we looked at how we promote aviation. Safety, rather than stunts, might help more.
Air shows are dangerous and outdated.
