Question of the Week

Many American aircraft manufacturers perform varying amounts of the construction of their aircraft in other countries. Now Embraer is doing final assembly of its Phenom light jets in Melbourne, FL and saying those aircraft are "made in the U.S.A."

What is an American airplane?

From tires to tail, all American-made parts, labor, and pride.
Major structures and components designed, built, and assembled in the U.S.
Foreign components and systems are O.K., as long as the airplane rolls out on American soil.
It's a global economy,- and flying the flag is less important than getting the job done.
OTHER (My opinion doesn't appear as a choice — but maybe I'll send you an e-mail)
