Question of the Week

Cessna announced a hefty price increase for the 162 Skycatcher to $149,000 last week, and this week Pipistrel said it can do one for a little more than half that at around $84,000.

What's the sweet spot when it comes to LSA pricing?

Cessna knows more about building small planes than anyone, and if that's the price, that's the price.
The price increase seems excessive, and somewhere around $100,000 seems reasonable.
For the mission and the capabilities, Pipistrel is in the ballpark.
Almost all new LSAs are too expensive, and the market will bear that out.
