The possibility of an increase in the maximum weight for LSAs is being bandied about at the FAA.

How much should an LSA weigh?

No weight increase is necessary.
It should remain 1,320 pounds, but there should be waivers for certain safety-related equipment, like whole airframe parachutes and air bags.
Any two-place single that meets the performance criteria should be allowed.
Any aircraft that meets the performance criteria should be allowed.
