Question of the Week

Gary Connery made the record books on Tuesday by jumping out of an airplane and landing unscathed without a parachute. Did that cross some hypothetical line between legitimacy and lunacy?

When is a stunt too reckless? Was Connery's?

Just about everything done for the first time is a "stunt." I say, "Bravo!"
He was well-prepared and didn't really endanger anyone else, so where's the harm?
Laws already exist to stop that sort of thing, but the authorities have to be ready and willing to enforce them.
That kind of risky exhibitionism is outrageous and should be condemned rather than celebrated.
He should be thrown in jail.
