PROMOTING
GENERAL AVIATION IN THE U.K. (WITH FULL FLAP TV'S RICHARD
MIDSON) A fun aviation event in the U.K. caught our eye, the
"Boeing 757 Challenge" an attempt to pull an example of the huge
jet with wheelchairs! Richard Midson of the U.K.'s Full Flap TV took time
to visit with AVweb's Mike Blakeney from Surrey, England to
explain how this (and some other publicity events) came off. He also
gave us an overview of GA across the pond, and (no surprise) it turns
out they are facing a lot of the same challenges as pilots in the U.S.

MEET
WING-WALKER CAROL PILON AVweb got a chance to visit
with Canadian wing-walker Carol Pilon, who performed two shows
this weekend at the 2008 Geneseo, New York air show dubbed "The Greatest
Show on Turf." In today's audiocast, learn what sets Carol apart from
other wing-walking acts. She is the only female wing-walker in Canada,
is also a skydiver and a pilot, and she owns the airplane she uses in
performances, a red 1940 Boeing Stearman named Royal Rhapsody.
