KINDLE DX FOR APPROACH PLATES
Amazon's Kindle e-reader has proven to be a hot seller, so it was just a matter of time before someone adapted it for displaying approach plates. The Kindle and Kindle 2 are too small for this purpose, so Gold Seal Ventures has adapted the new Kindle DX, which is much larger and has a greater grayscale range than the early e-readers did. Gold Seal is formally launching the Kindle DX at AirVenture this week, with demos and improvements on its web site, AirBrief.com.

BEAR 360
If this airplane looks like a 2:3 scale Bearcat, that's exactly the idea. The Russian-made Bear 360 is aimed at pilots who want a high-performance sport recreation aircraft but can't afford a real warbird. In this video, Skip Holm explains what the Bear 360 is all about.
