FLIGHT TRAINING MADE CONVENIENT

A new flight school is opening in Alabama -- not at an airport, but in a storefront near the freeway. Redbird flight simulators will be used at the site, which aims to keep students engaged during weeknights and rainy weather so they stay focused and on track. AVweb's Mary Grady spoke with Gloria Liu, general manager of Zulu Flight Training (a subsidiary of Continental Motors), for more details.

Marvin Hollenbeck is a Distinguished Flying Cross recipient and was the first U.S. pilot to land on Iwo Jima -- landing there to deliver mortars while the battle for the island raged around him.
