COAST TO COAST ON BIOFUEL, FOR EDUCATION

Ross McCurdy, a high school science teacher in Rhode Island and a private pilot, is planning to fly a biofuel-powered Cessna 182 from coast to coast to help teach kids about science and get them excited about learning. AVweb's Mary Grady talked with McCurdy about his plans and about the technology.

In 2010, AVweb Editorial Director Paul Bertorelli flew the same diesel 182 that McCurdy plans to fly; click here for his video pilot report. For more info and updates about McCurdy's project, go to Bioplane.us.
