BUGATTI AIRCRAFT TO FLY, SOON

The Bugatti 100P Project aims to bring to life a 70-plus-year-old collaboration between famed auto designer Ettore Bugatti and aerodynamic engineer Luis de Monge that was meant to create the most advanced aircraft of its day. Project lead Scotty Wilson says his reproduction may fly this year.

EFFICIENT SUPERSONIC, NO BOOM

A research team at the University of Miami has created an aircraft design that could fly at supersonic speeds without producing a ground observable sonic boom and fly with significantly more efficiency across its entire speed range. It's a 90-degree shift from conventional designs — literally.
