Welcome to WOW, Westerly Airport's annual festival! The public is invited to come down to the airport to celebrate aviation. Headlining the event are free "Young Eagles" airplane rides for kids ages 8-17, courtesy of the generous pilots and volunteers from EAA Chapter 334 of Groton, CT. There are static aircraft displays, kids' activities and crafts, demonstrations of police K9 operations, karate, etc., Lifestar helicopter, food court and more. Admission to WOW is FREE!!! (cash food court) Proceeds from sponsorships and food sales support the WAA Scholarship Fund. Rain date Sunday, 9/12.
