  • Do24 with an Attitude

    Picture taken in July 2009 during the opening ceremony of the Dornier Museum Friedrichshafen -- located near Lake Constance, Germany at the same airport where AERO takes place. This amphibian Do is a build-up from scratch. It was taken out of the Deutsche Museum after being displayed there for years, dismantled, shipped to the Far East, completely rebuilt, fitted with three turboprops, and flown around the world for charity by the great great grandson of the Claudius Dornier.
