Blue Skies, Asavri Mark Dickhaus of Indianapolis, IN copyright © Mark Dickhaus This photo was made for friends in Indiana Air Search and Rescue (IASAR) of Indianapolis, Indiana and the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation in Hampton, Georgia. The IASAR helo (foreground) served in Vietnam from 1969-1971 with the 1st/9th Air Cavalry, 1st/10th Air Cavalry, 2nd/20th Air Cavalry, and 117th Air Assault. The other (background) served in Vietnam with the 61st Assault Helicopter Company, the 79th Transportation Company, and the 119th Aviation Company. Notable about this photo is that the pilot (red shirt) of the IASAR helicopter actually flew the other helicopter during his combat tour in Vietnam! Some coincidence, huh? The photo was made with a Nikon SLR, 80-200mm 2.8 lens, from the open doorway of a Bell 206 helicopter over Indianapolis, Indiana on July 28, 2013. Don Parsons of St. Peters, MO
