Young Eagles Are Now Trading Planes
July 29, 2007

In an effort to get kids back into aviation and thus help slow or even stop the declining pilot population, Alpha Tango Charlie at EAA AirVenture said it is offering a discount on its aviation trading cards for aviation education and learn-to-fly organizations. 'Several EAA chapters offer them to Young Eagle kids to help reinforce the thrilling memory of their first flight," company President Tom Trainor said. "This is a new tool available to help inspire and encourage kids to become interested and involved in aviation." Each $2.99 pack contains 11 cards -- eight aircraft cards, two trivia cards and a bonus card. Six pack bundles are also available for $17.99.

The base set features 88 different aircraft cards, spanning vintage airplanes, warbirds, gliders, seaplanes, prop singles and twins, business jets and more. Each card has a high-quality image in the front and interesting facts on the back.
