Kids and their
families came to the Quonset Air Museum hangar in North
Kingstown, Rhode Island for preflight briefings on Young
Eagles Day. |
|
|
|
They learned about
navigation, air traffic control, and the instrument
panel before even getting to the ramp. |

The last stop at
the museum a walk-around of an airplane and
explanation of the preflight and safety procedures. |

Next stop is the
terminal, where kids get a chance to fly in a real
airplane. First, a few instructions and photo ops. |

This being an EAA
event, there is a wide variety of small single-engine
aircraft to fly in. |
