Dave MacRae has been flying back and forth across the U.S.-Canadian border for decades. The Princeton, New Jersey resident has dual citizenship, and his family has a summer residence in the Kawartha Lakes area near Toronto. He thought he'd seen it all until he landed at Buffalo, New York to clear Customs last Sunday. A Customs and Border Protection officer asked him to get out of his Cessna 210 so he could sweep it for nuclear material. It's apparently something anyone flying across the border had better get used to, and MacRae shared his thoughts on that with AVweb's Russ Niles.
