Swift Fuel Update: Make the Stuff From Natural Gas

Last April at Sun 'n Fun, Swift Enterprises offered some price estimates on its replacement avgas 100SF using primarily biomass sources. This week, the company's David Perme updates us with new numbers showing that Swift Fuel's acetone feedstock can be made either from biomass or from petroleum sources, most likely the natural gas components used for most acetone production. Price? He estimates it will be competitive with current avgas, between $5 and $6 a gallon.
