The AVweb Search Engine uses most of the standard search techniques. Some of the most common that you might be interested in using are...
- Search for exact phrases using quotation marks (" ")
Typing "cessna" or "skyhawk" will find items with those exact words in sequence.
- Use the minus sign (-) to narrow your search
If you enter cessna -skyhawk, that tells the search engine to include the word cessna but not skyhawk. Don't forget - there's no space after the sign.
- Use a wildcard (*) for multiple endings
By typing an * (asterisk symbol) at the end of a word, you can search for items with multiple endings. For example: comput* would find computer, computing, computes, computational, etc.
