The air show season opened on a high note for 2010 with a healthy turnout of both exhibitors and patrons at the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring, Fla. The four-day show wrapped up Sunday and AVweb's Paul Bertorelli and Jeb Burnside were there to capture the highlights on video. The first five videos are now ready for viewing and there will be more in coming days as we continue to review what has become an integral part of the air show calendar in its few years of existence.

Singapore Air Show Coverage By Liz Moscrop The Singapore Air Show opened Wednesday on a 30-hectare site next to Singapores Changi Airport housing a 40,000-sqaure-meter exhibition hall, stuffed to the brim with exhibitors. AVweb correspondent Liz Moscrop reports theres plenty of heavy iron out on the static and the major manufacturers are out in force in the chalet lines. The media room is buzzing and there are announcements throughout the day, with press officers literally coming in and shouting for journalists to join their conferences. ABACE: Olympics Kickstarts BizAv Growth By Liz Moscrop National Business Aviation Association President Ed Bolen opened the third Asian Business Association Conference and Exhibition today in Hong Kong by telling delegates the economic growth in the region makes aviation a natural partner for success. "There is no doubt that the future is bright for business aviation in Asia. China, in particular, as one of the fastest growing economies in the world and fueled by the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games brings exciting opportunities for business aviation growth," he told the opening session. Attendees and exhibitors are shivering in an unseasonably cold Hong Kong for the show. ABACE is smaller than last year, but is demonstrating that it still has value for manufacturers and regional operators. About 50 exhibitors and 800 registered attendees have flown in from all over the world and there is obviously brisk business afoot, with customer demonstrations and tours going on all day.
