King Schools Garmin 430/530 WAAS Course
The Garmin technology is a dream when you know how to use it, but it can turn into a dangerous nightmare if you don't have command of the knobs, buttons and system logic before you get in the air.
The King Schools Garmin 430/530 computer-based interactive video course can help you get the full utility and power from your Garmin. The course serves up short video snippets with close-up, finger-to-button demonstrations that make it easy to see the actions. Video snippets are followed by King's procedures trainer, which lets you put what you have just learned into practice right away, reinforcing your learning. The interactive menu tracks and displays your results so you can easily see how you are advancing. When you are done, you can print a completion certificate for your checkout instructor, FBO, or insurance company.
Available for $249 from the King Schools Web site.

Xerion Avionix Digital Twin-Engine Management System
Xerion Avionix, makers of the AuRACLE Engine Management System, have released the CRM 2120, the first digital engine management system upgrade for GA piston twins. The CRM 2120 replaces an aircraft's existing array of engine and fuel gauges with one primary, integrated system to reduce pilot workload and enhance safety.
Engine and fuel data from both engines appear on two five-inch, sunlight-readable, LCD screens. Operation info such as MP, RPM and fuel flows are displayed on the upper screen, along with critical engine parameters, including CHT, EGT and TIT. The lower screen displays fuel and oil status, percentage of horsepower, OAT and more. The CRM 2120 is manufactured to military specifications with a single, remote-engine interface penetrating the firewall in each nacelle.
Xerion is currently shipping the single-engine version of AuRACLE for all models of the Beechcraft Bonanza. Field installations on all Cessna and Piper singles begin in June. The CRM 2120 will be TSO'd and STC'd for many models of twin-engine aircraft, including Pipers, the Beechcraft Baron and 300-400 series Cessnas. Final certification of the CRM2120 is expected this fall, and Xerion is offering discounts for pilots and aircraft operators who order during the current promotional period.

Sporty's WAAS Videos for Download
Sporty's has launched a new, online, video series focusing on advanced avionics and real-world flying techniques. The Learning Beyond the License series goes beyond the basics to demonstrate how best to use modern resources, both on the ground and in the air. The programs are available exclusively for download and work with PC, Mac, iPod and iPhone.
The first two programs, WAAS Approaches: Garmin 430W and WAAS Approaches: Garmin G1000, show instrument pilots how to fly RNAV (GPS) approaches with confidence. Viewers will learn the differences between LPV, LNAV/VNAV and LNAV approaches and how to read new approach charts. Beyond that, each program also shows how to select and load RNAV approaches, including shortcuts and common mistakes for both the 430W and G1000.
The videos demonstrate the significant safety enhancements with these approaches including ILS-like guidance with glideslope. New features such as turn-by-turn guidance for procedure turns and holding patterns are also demonstrated. Viewers will ride along on three flights to see, step-by-step, how to prepare for and fly different RNAV approaches.
WAAS Approaches: Garmin 430W and WAAS Approaches: Garmin G1000 are each available for $9.95, and may be downloaded here.
