A $20 ticket ($10 for kids 12 and younger) will buy you oysters, salad and a beverage. Also in the northwest, Rainier Flight Service in Renton, Washington, will host its annual Seaplane Festival Saturday, serving up a free barbecue. Seaplane pilots are welcome to splash in and meet up at the docks at the north end of the airport. Join fellow pilots for socializing and everyone is welcome to learn what seaplane flying is all about. Introductory lessons are available by reservation.

Join the Northwest Missouri Chapter of the Antique Airplane Association Saturday for its BBQ On the River Fly-In at Excelsior Springs Memorial Airport. The Chapter will start the morning with a pancake breakfast followed by lunch. This fly-in averages around 70 airplanes on the field, making it one of the largest single-day fly-ins in Missouri. To finish out the day, head to Roscommon County Blodgett Memorial in Michigan for an evening "Fry-In" hosted by the Roscommon Area Pilots Association and Houghton Lake Area Tourism Bureau, which is promoting its "Catch Us If You Can" fishing contest. Fill up on a cod dinner with your choice of potato, coleslaw and lemonade. There will even be fresh-made doughnuts on hand. For more details about this weekend's events, visit SocialFlight.
