To celebrate its 70th birthday, there will be a full-scale fly-in at the North Omaha, Nebraska Airport Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. In addition to plenty of food and a skydiving exhibition, it will feature something we've all wanted to try: a pumpkin drop. Further east, the last fly-in/drive-in of the season is being held at the Cumberland Regional Airport, Wiley Ford, West Virginia on Sunday. From 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, organizers promise all you can eat for one low price-French toast, eggs, sausage, home fries, orange juice and coffee. They are also planning Young Eagle rides.
The Annual Mini Chili Fly-In/Cruise-In takes place Sunday the 26h from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Newbury Airfield, Lyons, Ohio. Bring your aircraft, hotrod, street machine or whatever your ride is for authentic kettle-cooked chili and world famous Tony Packo Franks. There will be antique and classic aircraft on display as well as warbirds. Finally, the Seventh Annual Fox Airfair/Wings & Wheels Day and Chili Cook-Off is taking place Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at Fox Airfield, Lancaster, California. There will be a pancake breakfast from 8:00 to 10:30 am followed by a chili cook-off at this annual airport open house for the community. Homebuilts, antiques, classics and helicopters will be on display. Thank you to Socialflight for keeping us up-to-date on aviation events.
