The FBI was involved in the arrest of Long Beach, California, man accused of repeatedly pointing a laser at numerous aircraft over the past year. The feds and Long Beach Police detectives claim they caught Mark Allan Barger shining his powerful green laser at a police helicopter before they nabbed him. He’s been charged with felony discharge of a laser at an occupied aircraft and violating parole and is being held without bail.
The police allege Barger has been targeting commercial and small aircraft using the local airport for more than a year and that he planned his attacks. He is alleged to have targeted the police helicopter “multiple times.”
What a knucklehead. It appears he WANTS one of these PD ships to go down. Back to jail, don’t pass GO, and there’s no Get Out Of Jail card for him.
They will arrest these knuckleheads, but not people throwing drones at planes.
In today’s climate, I have to speculate if this is not “in the name of” environmentalism and defund the police. I’ll bet a dollar there is an agenda behind this. But of course, we will never know.
The laser guy is just a nut. You’re the one with an agenda.
Occam’s Razor would suggest that, as someone out on parole, this knucklehead’s agenda was to piss off the police. “Environmentalism” and “Defund the Police” motives rely on facts not in evidence. Good thing you’re not a big bettor.
This about a sociopath with no regard for other humans. Give him 5 years in a prison or mental hospital and CANE the SOB once a week to keep his attention.
