French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation announced the appointment of Thierry Betbeze as CEO of its subsidiary, Dassault Falcon Jet (DFJ), on Wednesday. DFJ, which is headquartered in Teterboro, New Jersey, oversees the marketing, sales and support of Falcon business jets in the Americas. Betbeze is replacing DFJ CEO Jean Rosanvallon, who is stepping down after 23 years in the position. According to Dassault, Rosanvallon will serve as Special Senior Advisor to Dassault Aviation CEO Eric Trappier during the transition.
“Thierry’s appointment is the latest in a number of recent changes intended to reinforce our worldwide sales, marketing and customer support effort,” said Trappier. “His extensive experience in international finance, along with the recent appointments of Carlos Brana, Executive Vice President Civil Aircraft and head of Worldwide Falcon sales and marketing, and Jean Kayanakis, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Falcon Customer Service & Service Center Network, will ensure the enduring success of the Falcon brand in today’s demanding business aviation environment.”
Betbeze holds a master’s degree in finance from Ecole Supérieur de Commerce et de Management (ESCEM). He joined Dassault Aviation in 1984 and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Finance in 2004. He has been serving as DFJ’s Senior Vice President of Finance since 2016.
