Hillsboro Aero Academy division Hillsboro Heli Academy has finalized an agreement with Texas-based Bristow Group to provide a career pathway for its helicopter students. Hillsboro Heli Academy’s Career Pathway Program provides partner organizations opportunities to monitor training progress and engage with students through presentations, events and interviews. Students who successfully complete the program are also guaranteed interviews with their selected pathway partner.
Carbon Fiber Composites has been awarded $10,000 to develop a new general aviation aircraft concept by the Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI). Located in West Virginia, Carbon Fiber Composites has been producing composite airframe parts and fabricating and manufacturing aerospace components since 2003. A&P mechanic Nolan Mayden, 23, was awarded a 2019 Chuck Freeland Memorial Scholarship for flight training by the Aircraft Electronics Association. Mayden has been working for Kansas-based Air Plains Services for the past two years.
DAES Distribution, a company which provides equipment, tools and product solutions for the aerospace industry, has partnered with commercial equipment and aviation finance provider First National Capital. According to First National Capital, the partnership will provide DAES with equipment loan and project financing to support new and existing customers.
