North Carolina-based flight training provider Blue Line Aviation has placed an order for 11 new Diamond Aircraft. The order includes 10 DA40 NGs and one DA42-VI twin aircraft, which are scheduled to be delivered over the next 18 months. The order was facilitated by Diamond distributor LifeStyle Aviation.

CAFE Foundation and Vertical Flight Society are co-hosting the 13th Annual Electric Aircraft Symposium (EAS) at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. The symposium will take place on July 20-21. Munich Aiport has noted significant gains in passenger numbers in the first six months of the 2019. The airport reports that it has set a new half-year record of 22.7 million passengers, an increase of approximately 5 percent compared to the first six months of 2018.

Also in Germany, Munich-based airfreight handling company Cargogate is celebrating its 45th anniversary. The company, which has grown from 14 employees to more than 200 since its formation, was established in July 1974 as Muc Air Services. Finally, Connectsix LLC has announced an early-adopter discount program for its SayWeather automated airport weather reporting system. SayWeather is designed to gather weather data from an on-airport weather station and broadcast that information over the airport’s UNICOM frequency. The discount program will run through Dec. 31, 2019.
